Derechos Humanos y perspectiva de género en las contribuciones nacionalmente determinadas (NDC) en América Latina (AIDA)

This document aims to provide a series of key elements related to the inclusion of the human rights and gender perspective framework in the preparation, updating and implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) of Latin American countries.

Thus, this document seeks to be a tool for both decision-makers and civil society organizations to verify the proper integration of these fundamental issues into the aforementioned climate action planning instruments.

In this sense, based on various international and regional standards and treaties, a list of general elements and key actions that should be considered in the preparation and implementation of the NDC is provided, in order to include human rights and rights in a transversal manner. The gender perspective in climate change mitigation and adaptation measures, applicable to various sectors and activities.
